FAQ
Does opening a tab spend credits?
No. Home, Audit, Rankings, Reports, and Schema do not spend Generate, Optimize, or rank budget when you open them. Product and collection Check score also spends nothing: it only runs NeuronWriter evaluate-content when a ready query already exists. Credits are spent only when you start Generate, Optimize, bulk image suggestions, a local page, a confirmed NeuronWriter analysis, or when the daily rank job runs.
What is the difference between Generate and Optimize?
Generate writes first-pass copy with OpenAI (350 per month). Optimize runs a NeuronWriter revision toward the top competitor score (10 per month). You can Optimize without generating first. Both need your approval before Shopify changes.
Why do I have to confirm NeuronWriter twice?
The first click only prepares a token when no query exists yet. If a query for that topic already exists, the first click reuses it and shows a banner such as A NeuronWriter query for fruit wine already exists, reusing it. The second click creates the paid analysis only when none exists. Run now and the scheduler are not allowed to create analyses in the background.
How many blog posts will publish?
The store's Posts per month setting on Home (1 to 4), not a fixed 4. Shopify publishes the unpublished article on the scheduled date. Planned topics in the Blogs queue do not count against that cap. Build without NeuronWriter can fill remaining slots this month without creating a NeuronWriter query. The planner also shows next month's planned posts.
Can I edit copy before it goes live?
Yes. Product and collection drafts show a current vs proposed diff. Blog posts are unpublished Shopify articles you can edit in Shopify admin. Local pages are created unpublished. Regenerating a local page rewrites that Shopify page only after you click.
Does Invenio change my theme?
No. JSON-LD is injected by the Invenio local SEO app embed. You enable that embed in the theme editor. Theme files are not edited.
What does the Help button do?
It stays on every embedded app page. It opens a panel with a link to /docs. If the host configured the docs chat webhook, you can ask a question. That question is posted to /app/help-chat while you are signed into the app, then forwarded to the webhook. If the webhook is not set, you still get the docs link.
Where is Settings?
On Home, under Local SEO settings. DataForSEO location, cap, Test connection, Place ID, CID, and an optional encrypted login override are on Home too. Home also shows Search Console connection status. NeuronWriter project is on Products (and Collections). Rank budget, Connect Search Console, Check now, the map pack grid, and local competitors are on Rankings. Schema toggles are on Schema.
Home in Shopify admin asked for my shop URL
That should not happen inside the embedded app. If it does, reopen Invenio from Apps in Shopify admin. Home stays on App Bridge navigation and will not show the login form in the iframe.
Who can see /docs?
Anyone with the URL. /docs does not require Shopify login. The embedded app still requires Shopify admin auth. /docs/llms.txt is the same guide as one plain-text file for the help chatbot.
