Credits and limits

Quotas reset each calendar month and are enforced on the server for each store.

Generate (OpenAI)

Default 350 calls per store per month (INVENIO_GENERATE_MONTHLY_CAP).

One Generate credit is spent when you:

  • Generate a product (1 per selected product)
  • Generate a collection (1 per selected collection)
  • Generate bulk Image alt suggestions (1 per image in the batch)
  • Draft a local page (1 per page)
  • Regenerate a local page (1 per page)
  • Build scheduled posts without NeuronWriter (1 per article). Writer fix-pass retries for that article do not spend extra Generate credits.

Per-row Add image alt and editor Generate alt text write alt text but do not spend this Generate quota.

If the cap is reached, Invenio refuses the run and tells you how many remain.

Optimize (NeuronWriter)

Default 10 Optimize runs per store per month (INVENIO_OPTIMIZE_MONTHLY_CAP). One run per selected product or collection. Optimize is a scarcer pass toward the top competitor score.

NeuronWriter analyses (75 per month)

Creating a new NeuronWriter query uses an analysis on your NeuronWriter plan. Invenio's default display cap is 75 per month (INVENIO_QUERY_CREATE_MONTHLY_CAP).

Analyses are created only after an explicit confirm:

  • Home: Create missing NeuronWriter analyses, then Confirm create analyses
  • Blogs: Create 1 NeuronWriter analysis, then Confirm: this uses 1 analysis

Run now, Optimize (which uses an existing project), Local pages, and Build with NeuronWriter reuse ready queries. They do not create a new analysis by themselves. Build without NeuronWriter never calls NeuronWriter. The Blogs content planner uses one gpt-4o-mini call per refresh and never creates a NeuronWriter query. Product and collection Check score calls NeuronWriter evaluate-content on a ready query only. That does not create a query and does not spend Generate, Optimize, or analysis credits.

Blog posts per month

Home Posts per month is 1 to 4 built or scheduled Shopify articles per calendar month. The Blogs page count uses those articles, not planned topics. After one successful build with a cap of 2, the page shows 1 of 2 used.

Rank budget

Home and Rankings share one DataForSEO monthly cap (default $10). Keyword volumes, daily rank, competitor gaps, writer SERP briefs, Google Business comparison, and the map pack grid log cost from the API response. Spend updates after a grid run. Opening Rankings does not spend it. Calls skip when the cap is hit or when no credentials are set.

A 5x5 map grid is about $0.05 (25 Maps live calls at $0.002). A competitor refresh (3 keywords, this store plus 3 listings) is about $0.04.

Search Console connect and Open Re-write spend no rank budget and no Generate or Optimize credits.

Other limits

  • At most 10 products or 10 collections per Generate or Optimize run
  • At most 4 blog posts published per store per calendar month
  • At most 3 target keywords and 8 towns saved on Home
  • Audit is free
  • Schema saves are free
  • Reports are free
  • Daily email digest POSTs are free (no Generate or DataForSEO spend)

If OpenAI or NeuronWriter keys are missing, Generate, Optimize, and image alt can still create stub drafts for review. Stubs are labeled. Approve still writes to Shopify, so read them first.
